The admin template

The shell an application runs in: a rail on the left, a top bar carrying the breadcrumb and the page tabs, a side panel, a status bar with the server log, and the command palette over all of it. It is what every page of this site is built into — the demo below is the same element, on a page of its own, with content that has nothing to do with the documentation.

The markup

The template is the host's class, so every region exists in the dom and the class decides which ones take part in the layout. A region no slot fills removes itself.

What it shows

• the rail: the menu MMO.config.menus builds, the search field that opens the palette, and the foot of the rail with the scheme switch
• the top bar: breadcrumb, page tabs, the page's own actions and the account card
• the work area: page header, content, and the side panel MMO.app.showPanel() opens
• the status bar, and the server log drawer it opens over the page
